As the Pulsed Erbium Fiber Lasers are more robust and can be manufactured at industrial stages for mass production needs, they answer more and more applications. These new applications are also requiring new functionalities (high repetition rates, smaller pulse duration). To meet these new requests, Keopsys introduce a new platform for a New Pulsed Erbium Fiber Laser: PK50.

Optical Specifications

High peak power up to 15kW is achievable with the new PK50 Pulsed Erbium Fiber Laser from Keopsys. The pulse duration can be chosen in between 0.5 to 200ns with pulse repetition rate from 10Hz to 1MHz. Keopsys also takes a great care of beam quality which can be crucial for some applications when measurement accuracy is needed as for 3D scanning. Therefore laser beams are diffraction limited.

Reliability

Keopsys new PK50 pulsed Erbium Fiber Laser has been for onboard and harsh environmental applications. The choice of optical and electronic components is also crucial. Keopsys chooses qualified European suppliers and standard components to ensure high quality and secured parts supplying.

To also increase the lifetime of its pulsed fiber laser, Keopsys policy is to reduce the number of critical components. Therefore, it lowers the FIT then increases the MTBF.

This is for Keopsys a real motivation to propose a reliable and rugged device whatever the environmental conditions.

Mechanical conception

PK50: New Pulsed Erbium Fiber Laser platform is designed with materials that are compatible with CE standard, RoHS, and REACH. Moreover, the device is also Defense and Space certified.

The form is rectangular that allows an easy integration. Dimensions are 120x120x27mm, which make the platform easy to integrate into a broad range of complex systems.
